Overview of Ensenada

Ensenada is a city located in the northwest of Mexico, 60 miles south of US-Mexico border on the Pacific coast. Its population is about 450,000. Tourism, fishing, agriculture, and industry are the most important factors in the economical development of the city.

Roughly 30 miles south of Ensenada is the marine geyser (blowhole) La Bufadora. It is the second largest blowhole in the world, and can shoot upwards as high as 120 feet above sea level.

Guadalupe Valley, the famous winery route, is 15 miles from Ensenada. It is a very nice trip to go and taste the different wines that are produced there.

Ensenada has mild climate. The temperature ranges in winter 40-65 F, in summer 60-90 F and in fall 45-75 F.
